Merlin MS Centre Cornwall

New Hydrotherapy Pool for Centre

Work is now underway on a new hydrotherapy pool for people with MS and other neurological conditions on the site of the existing Centre. Estimated  completion by November this year.Merlin build1 marketing20 207 preview.jpeg

We have identified an enormous demand for the facility and we have support from people and organisations throughout Cornwall. The pool will be used by our physiotherapists to provide specialist hydrotherapy sessions to Merlin MS Centre service users and it will also be available for public sessions and private hire.

The building work will take place in two phases, the first to complete the build of the pool building which will include the pool, changing rooms, toilets, reception area and office, plus solar panels and the second phase in 2019-2020 to add new therapy space, cafe area, link corridor and extention of the car park.

DSCF3328newWe anticipate approximately 5,500 individual hydrotherapy treatments taking place each year. The incredibly generous £1mil donation from lottery winner, Peter Congdon, has made this possible. However, we will still need to raise an additional £680,000 to complete the project .
