Mr Simon Sherrard Chairman and Trustee
Simon Sherrard has spent his career in business and currently has a portfolio of non-executive directorships and charity trusteeships. He is chairman of Bibby Line Group Ltd. where he was Managing Director from 1985 to 2000. Previous chairman appointments include; Port of London Authority, Johnson Services Group Plc and A&P Group Ltd. Prior to this he worked in the Far East for eleven years. Outside of work he plays golf, tennis and breeds rare sheep. He lives at Bossiney near Tintagel.
Christopher Clark QC. Trustee
Christopher was called to the Bar in 1969 and subsequently practised on the Western Circuit. In 1989 he was appointed Queen's Counsel. For the next sixteen years he appeared in many major criminal trials in courts all over the country. In 2005 he was appointed a Circuit Judge sitting in Hampshire and Dorset. In January he was appointed Resident Judge in Truro.He has been Chancellor of the Diocese of Winchester for twenty years. He was Bencher of Grays's Inn until he retired on being appointed to the Resident Judgeship.
Mrs Sally-Jane Coode Trustee
Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall, 17 years experience of running her own engineering company, Governor of Cornwall College (Chair of Audit), Trustee of Duchy Health Charity, Chairman of Elizabeth Finn Care, Cornwall.
Mr David Perks Treasurer and Trustee
David Perks spent 33 years working for Barclays Bank in a variety of roles and currently runs his own financial consultancy business. He was honorary treasurer of the Cornwall County Playing fields for 17 years.
Mr Steve Lawrence Trustee
Retired residential sales/letting agent for more than 35 years followed by a brief spell working with HM Courts and Tribunals service. He was a junior school Govenor including many years as Chairman and a member of various committees (1992-2014) plus Chairman/Secretary/Treasuer to various sporting Societies over many years. He became involved in the "background" with the Merlin Project back in 2002 and is currently a full time carer for his wife (diagnosed with MS in 1996). In his spare time he enjoys running, reading and exploring his family's Cornish history sating back many generations as well as his role as a qualified FA Referees assessor and, whenever possible, promoting the many facets of the Merlin MS Centre.
Mr Michael James Trustee
Local Business man lived in the area for the last 54 years. Michael is Chairman of Hewas Water Group, is a local farmer and has several residential properties which he lets out. He has been interested in the charity since the beginning and he actually helped construct the steeel frame of the Merlin building.
Dr Emma Campbell Trustee
Dr Campbell trained at Bristol University and then did Junior Hospital Jobs in the South West predominately in Plymouth.After qualifying as a GP, she was a partner at St Ives Surgery for ten years before moving to Probus Surgery in 2000, which was closer to where she was living. Over the next ten years at Probus she has helped develop the computer based records and was involved in the diabetic clinics. More recently she has helped establish a Memory Cafe in Probus Village Hall for people with memory impairement.On a fortnightly basis she has a clinic at the Merlin Centre for patients of Probus Surgery who live in the surrounding area and believes this helps develop intergration and increased understanding of the Merlin MS Centre and its very valuable role in reducing the potential isolation that people with MS and their carers may experience.

Mr Michael Gifford Trustee
Local man Michael Gifford spent seven years as a Police Special Constable along-side working as a Sales Manager for Alan Davies Automatics. Mike spent time as a football referee covering Devon & Cornwall. Mike is both a centre user as well as a volunteer Hyperbaric Class 1 operator in the HBO department.
Mr Andrew James Trustee
Andrew is a recently qualified Chartered Accountant, shortlisted as NQ of the year for PQ Magazine 2015. His past voluntary experience includes; Society Treasurer/ Vice President for ICAEW South West England Chartered Accountants' Student Society and also Club Secretary for Grampound Football Club. Outside of work Andrew enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his young family.
